Compared to 2020, the number of illegal migrants detained during the first 6 months of the year has quadrupled, the Border Police announced for the BNR. During this period the border authorities have prevented almost 8,300 illegal migrants from crossing the Bulgaria-Turkey border, and another 4,710 at the border with Greece.
