Number of new daily Covid-19 infections rises for second day running

200 is the number of newly registered Covid-19 infections out of 15,641 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of 1.28%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. No new infections have been reported in four regions of the country – Vidin, Gabrovo, Pernik and Razgrad.

7,541 is the number of active cases in Bulgaria, 95 more than the previous day, or an increase of 42%. 755 patients are being treated in hospital, 77 of them in intensive care. 4 people have died as a result of Covid-19 in the past day, 111 have recovered.

12 ,178 doses of vaccine were administered in the country on Tuesday, bringing the total number of vaccinations to 1,988,805. The number of people who are now fully vaccinated is 977,165.
