Bad day for Bulgarian athletes in Tokyo

Weightlifter Bozhidar Andreev finished fifth in the 73kg category at the Tokyo Olympics with a total of 338kg. Before the last attempt, the Bulgarian had chance for a bronze.

Shooter Seline Ali placed 16th after the first day of the trap event qualifications in the Tokyo Olympics. Tomorrow she will participate in the other two series of qualifications. The six competitors with the best result continue to the finals.

Linda Zetchiri suffered a second loss in badminton - this time against Mia Blichfeldt from Denmark and finished last in her group.

Swimmer Lyubomir Epitropov was eliminated in the semifinals of the 200 m breaststroke event. Kaloyan Levterov, on the other hand, was eliminated in the 200m backstroke series and failed to qualify for the semifinals.
