Weather forecast for Bulgaria for August 4, 2021

Yellow code alert for hot weather over Western and Central Bulgaria on Wednesday

It will be sunny in Bulgaria on Wednesday. In the afternoon hours, intermittent showers are expected over the mountainous and eastern regions. The maximum temperatures will be between 33 °C and 38 °C, in the region of Sofia - up to 34 °C.


The weather along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast will also be sunny, with cloudy spells in the afternoon. Short showers are expected in the northern coastline. The maximum air temperatures will be from 26 °C on the northern cape Shabla to 30 °C south of Burgas. The temperature of the sea water will be at 25 °C -28 °C. 

In the Bulgarian mountains, the weather will be sunny with occasional showers The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 metres will be 29 °C, at 2,000 meters - about 23 °C. In the resorts of Borovets and Pamporovo the thermometres will show 28 °C - 29 °C, in Bansko and Dobrinishte highs will reach 30-31 °C.

On Thursday, temperatures will temporarily rise. In the afternoon hours rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in the western parts.
