Bulgaria reports new increase in daily Covid-19 infections

462 are new cases with coronavirus in the country for the past 24 hours. 2.77% of the 16,656 tests performed have returned positive, according to the National Coronavirus Information Portal. This is a double increase compared to a week earlier, when the new cases were 200 and the positive samples were only 1.28% of all tests. There are no more areas without new infections.


There are already 9,109 actively registered patients. 914 patients are currently hospitalized as 86 people are in intensive care. 

In the last 24 hours, 3 people with established Covid-19 have died. 52 people are reported to have recovered.

12,389 doses of vaccines were administered on Tuesday. So far, 1,013,254 people in Bulgaria have completed the immunization cycle.
