“No later than 10 days from now the country is going to enter the orange Covid-19 zone,” said caretaker Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov. At a working meeting, convened by President Rumen Radev, he stated that the healthcare system is to a great extent ready for the new wave.

“However, we need to urgently update the budget as all reserves for paying front-line medics have been exhausted,” Minister Katsarov said. Other points of discussion included the social and economic measures necessary to cushion the negative effects of a possible coronavirus surge.
