Fighting forest fires and managing migrant pressure are among the priorities of the new Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior - Petar Todorov. This has become clear after he was presented today by Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov. Minister Rashkov said that the professionals in the Ministry of Interior needed an independent person as a head.

"We are strengthening border control to prevent the illegal crossing of the Republic's borders. Naturally, we also continue combating local crime," Petar Todorov said. Managing the new coronavirus wave, which is expected in late summer and early September, is also among the priorities.
