Bulgaria reports 623 new daily coronavirus infections

623 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in the country out of 13,761 tests performed in the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of 4.5%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. The highest number of new infections is in Sofia - 158, in Burgas – 84 and in Plovdiv – 63.

1,490 patients are being treated in hospital, 131 of them in intensive care. 7 have died and 59 have recovered over the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is 14,645.

3,504 doses of vaccine were administered yesterday, bringing the total number of vaccinations up to more than 2.1 million. More than 1 million people in the country have now been fully vaccinated.
