Bulgaria’s athlete Dzhan Zarkov earned a bronze medal at the Youth & U15 European Weightlifting Championships in the Polish city of Ciechanow. Zarkov placed third in the 49 kilogram category competition (athletes aged between 15-17) with a total of 165 kilograms.
The young Bulgarian talent lifted 74 kilograms in the snatch event and 91 kilograms in the clean and jerk event. Later on Saturday Erdzhan Veskov will compete in the 55 kilo category (athletes aged 17).
