Bulgarian Foreign Minister Svetlan Stoev, who is on an official visit to Kiev, has reaffirmed Bulgaria's support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders and expressed concern over growing militarization in the Black Sea region.

Minister Stoev spoke at the opening of the International Crimea Platform summit meeting. The forum, initiated by Ukraine and supported by the EU, is under the auspices of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and aims at drawing the international community's attention to the annexation of Crimea.

"The de-occupation of Crimea and the regulation of the conflict in eastern Ukraine must remain high on the international agenda," Stoev also said.
