A draft bill, approved by the Council of Ministers today, on amendments to the Higher Education Act envisages that two or more higher educational establishments will be able to train students jointly, and issue joint diplomas.
By force of these amendments the Ministry of Education and Science is seeking to encourage cooperation among higher educational establishments by creating joint multi-disciplinary spheres of study. The students enrolled in them will study the individual disciplines at different universities. The universities will use shared resources and academic capacity to train students for professions which require knowledge and skills from different areas that are crucial to the development of economy and of society.
