“I went to see Slavi Trifonov (leader of ITN – editorial note) to call on him so that, with the third exploratory mandate, we can correct the mistakes we failed to mend during the first mandate,” “Democratic Bulgaria” co-chair Hristo Ivanov said in an interview for Nova TV. He added, referring to the interview given by Slavi Trifonov for BNT, that it is a shame to be tossing about some kind of meetings with the aim of creating intrigue. According to Hristo Ivanov, the handing of the third government-forming mandate to the Bulgarian Socialist Party marked the start of the election campaigning.

Regarding the start of negotiations by the Bulgharian Socialist Party (BSP) on the formation of a cabinet, Maria Cappone from “Stand Up, BG! We Are Coming!” said that with his refusal to support a possible future government, “Slavi Trifonov set fire to the third mandate”.

Bulgarian Socialist Party leader Korneliya Ninova is expected to make a statement in parliament today. According to the BSP press centre, the invitations for negotiations extended to ITN, “Democratic Bulgaria” and “Stand Up, BG! We Are Coming!” still stand.
