A Military Medical Simulation Training Center for training military medical specialists opened at the Military Medical Academy in Sofia. The center aims to become a NATO training center and organize training courses of allied powers.
In the training of combat paramedics and medical officer cadets high-tech manikins will be used that can simulate the basic vital functions of the human body, pathological conditions and combat injuries. An ultrasound simulator for emergency diagnostics will be available as well.
"The new Military Medical Simulation Training Center is a huge investment in the future of our armed forces and has the capacity to function during disasters and accidents in Bulgaria," said this country’s President Rumen Radev during the official opening of the center.
