Plovdiv celebrates Unification Day

The celebrations on the occasion of the Day of Plovdiv, marked on the Unification Day (September 6), will begin with the traditional marathon from the town of Saedinenie to Unification (Saedinenie) Square in Plovdiv. 

The celebrations will continue with a solemn prayer at the Cathedral Church of the Holy Mother of God, a reenactment of the historical events surrounding the Unification of Bulgaria and the exhibition “Plovdiv on the Road to the Modern World” displayed at the Regional Historical Museum. Later, President Rumen Radev is expected to give a speech.
