Bulgaria wins two gold medals at European Rowing Under 23 Championships

Emil Neykov won the title in the men’s single sculls at the 2021 European Rowing Under 23 Championships held in Kruszwica, Poland. The son of Bulgaria’s Olympic Champion Rumiana Neykova finished two seconds ahead of the silver medalist.

Lazar Penev earned a gold medal in the lightweight men’s single sculls final. This has been Penev’s second successful performance this year. He earned a bronze medal at the 2021 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in the Czech Republic.
