Specialized prosecutor’s office launches probe into allegations of corruption in parliament

The specialized prosecutor’s office is self-initiating and inquiry into allegations, in the media, of corruption in the 46th National Assembly, the prosecutor’s office has announced.

For ITN’s party TV 7/8, Radostin Vasilev, MP from ITN (“There Is Such a People”) stated that he had met with National Assembly Vice-President Tatyana Doncheva and that she had shown him a list of names and the figure “500 K”, saying that 20-30 MPs can be broken away from ITN. “As a lawyer, I cannot say that she was offering me a bribe, I am just telling the story,” Radostin Vasilev said.

Tatyana Doncheva on her part commented that she would seek redress in court over Vasilev’s allegations.
