Teacher shortage in Bulgaria is large

On the first day of school, 2,357 schools in the country will welcome more than 706,000 pupils. Nearly 59,000 first-graders will cross the school threshold for the first time. Meanwhile, the teacher shortage in this country is large, announced Bulgaria’s Ministry of Education and Science. 

There are 436 vacancies in Bulgaria in the sector. Teachers in kindergartens, teachers of mathematics and English and primary school teachers in Sofia-city, Plovdiv, Varna and Sofia-district are the most sought after teachers.
