Wrong maneuver caused the ship Vera SU to get stuck

The ship Vera SU, on route from Ukraine to the port of Varna that got stuck in the rocks near the protected area of Yailata had failed to make a routine adjustment of its course, which caused its collision with the shore on September 20, Dnevnik reported, quoting a source from the State Enterprise "Port Infrastructure". Ways are currently being sought to unload the stranded ship carrying nitrogen fertilizers, in order to free it from the rocks. This morning a floating crane and a second ship were supposed to start unloading of the cargo, but it turned out that they could not do it in the shallow waters. The option to dump part of the cargo into the sea has been rejected by the company, which deals with the emergency rescue activities, BNR Varna has reported.
