91% of newly hospitalized Covid-19 patients are non-vaccinated

A total of 2,091 cases of coronavirus have been identified after 22,340 tests performed for a day, data from the Single Coronavirus Information Portal show. 9.4% of the tests returned a positive result. The highest number of new cases is in Sofia - 510, in Plovdiv - 211 and in Varna - 142. There are 5,182 patients in hospital as 463 of them are in intensive care.

91.1% of newly hospitalized patients were non-vaccinated people. 87 people passed away as 96.6% of them had not been immunized, while the number of recoveries reached 907. The active coronavirus cases are 45,056. Yesterday, 7,051 vaccines were administered and with them the total number reached 2,546,712. A total of 1,335,039 people have completed the immunisation process.
