Sofia hosts a conference on Bulgarian communities in the Urals and Siberia

Scientists from Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine and Moldova are participating at a two-day conference within the project named "Bulgarians in the Urals and Siberia in the 20th – 21st century: history, culture, identity." The project is managed by Associate Professor Dr. Petko Hristov. It is funded by the Scientific Research Fund with the Ministry of Education and Science.

Bulgaria’s Vice President Iliana Yotova greeted the participants. The Russian participants told Vice-President Yotova that she was welcome to visit Tyumen region and Komi to get acquainted with the people of Bulgarian origin living there.
