Bulgaria records rising number of new daily infections with Covid-19

2,542 are the registered new cases of coronavirus in the country for the past 24 hours. 13.8% of the 18,376 tests performed returned positive, according to the National Coronavirus Information Portal. Compared to Wednesday, the number of new infections has decreased by 324 people, but the percentage has increased by 2.4 percent.


The number of active patients is at 48,716. The hospitalized patients are 5,312 as 455 patients are in intensive care. 657 patients were admitted to hospital. Over 90% of them have not been vaccinated. For a week, 3,682 people were admitted to hospitals due to complications. 90.7% of them have not been vaccinated. 
91 persons died in the last 24 hours with an established Covid infection. 93% were not vaccinated. 

A total of 7,193 vaccines were given on Wednesday. 1,350,132 people have completed the full immunization. There are 3,259 Bulgarians who have received the third dose.
