The initiative committee for the nomination of Rumen Radev and Iliana Yotova for president and vice president for a second term in office have submitted the documents for the registration of the candidates to the Central Election Commission.

"The stakes in this election are high. The dividing line here is not between the parties and the party members, but between the clientele of corruption and its opponents," said journalist Anna Zarkova, who is part of the Initiative Committee. "Here the victory is on the side of the Bulgarians who want their state back," she added.

The committee's co-chairwoman, Tsvetoslava Galabova, said their candidates "would lead a positive campaign" and "there would be no attacks with compromising materials."
