17.59% coronavirus positivity rate in Bulgaria in past day

1,000 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 5,683 tests performed, data of the web portal coronavirus.bg show. 17.59% of the tests have returned positive result. 86.6% of the newly-registered Covid-19 cases are among unvaccinated.

The number of active cases of Covid-19 amounts to 60,485. 6,704 patients are being treated in hospital, 512 of them in intensive care units. 167 people were hospitalized in the past day. 88.62% of the new hospitalizations are among unvaccinated.

43 people have died and 504 have been reported cured in the past day. 95% of the Covid-19 deaths are among unvaccinated.

A mere 1,791 vaccine dozes were administered in Bulgaria on Sunday. 1,384,919 people have completed the vaccination cycle. 7,980 people have already received a Covid-19 booster shot.
