At today's meeting, the caretaker government decides on the Bulgarian position for the forthcoming European Council, which will discuss the issue of high energy prices and measures to solve the problem. This was announced last night in Sofia by the caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev. More than 600,000 consumers pay 4 times higher bills in comparison to the past year, it became clear at the meeting.

"We would seek protection of Bulgarian business, protection of consumers who produce goods and services," Yanev said.
