The United States appreciates Bulgaria's efforts against malicious actions in the Balkans

Issues of the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the United States in the field of defence were discussed in Sofia by the Bulgarian Minister of Defence Georgi Panayotov and the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for European and Nato Policy Spencer Boyer. 

The guest noted that the American side highly appreciates the actions taken by Bulgaria in connection with the deterrence of malicious activities in terms of security in the region and the fair sharing of responsibilities within NATO. 
Boyer reaffirmed the current US administration's commitment to strengthening Euro-Atlantic ties, the Bulgarian Ministry of Defence reported.
