For the second day running the newly registered coronavirus infections in the past day are close to 5,000 in number.
4,957 is the new number of Covid-19 infections reported in the past 24 hours. The coronavirus positivity rate has gone up – from 18.6% on the previous day to 22.3% out of the 22,264 tests performed over the past 24 hours. 85% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated.
From 63,241, the number of active cases has increased to 65,331. The number of hospitalizations is also up - from 6,258 to 6,377, of them 558 are being treated in intensive care.
Out of the new hospitalizations 90% are among the unvaccinated. 124 is the number of Covid-related deaths in the past 24 hours, 95.16% of them among the unvaccinated. 2,743 is the number of daily recoveries.
9,097 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past day. 1,393,292 is the number of people in the country who are now fully vaccinated.
