Dialogue on history between Bulgaria and North Macedonia has stalled again

The 15th meeting of the Bulgaria-North Macedonia Joint Commission on Historical Issues ended without results. This has been reported by its co-chairman Angel Dimitrov. "Our colleagues simply cannot accept the idea of a common history and of what is written in the Treaty of Friendship and Good Neighborliness. According to him, the joint work on history cannot pass the times of the Middle Ages.

The next meeting of the joint commission is in December.
