Bulgaria’s government will allocate EUR 6.5 million for the purchase of child-friendly Covid-19 tests. We want to provide Covid-19 tests for all Bulgarian children from 1st to 4th grade for at least one month, this country’s caretaker Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov announced at a press conference. "Children from 1st to 4th grade should return to school next week. "If we see that this mechanism works well, we shall continue with the students from the upper grades”. Minister Katsarov added.

"We will succeed, if parents give consent for Covid-19 tests for children", said caretaker Minister of Education Nikolay Denkov. Minister Denkov clarified that children are expected to undergo Covid-19 tests twice a week.
