In 2022 pensions will be raised by an average of 43 euros per retiree, according to the NSI calculations based on new rules adopted by the parliament. On an annual basis, the rise is about 7-8%. According to the forecasts, next year the average pension will reach about 300 euros a month.
The rule comes into force on December 25. On this date the minimum pension rises from 153 euros to 189 euros as the highest pension becomes 767 euros, while the old-age social pension reaches 87 euros a month.
