Hospitals in region of Plovdiv could run out of beds

A strong rise in the number of coronavirus infections has been registered in Plovdiv and the region for a day - 630 people, compared to 538 yesterday, Regional Health Inspectorate data show. Local hospitals warn that they could run out of beds for patients in intensive care, BNR Plovdiv has reported. The pressure on the healthcare system is already very serious, the director of the "Kaspela" hospital in the city Prof. Ilian Doikov warned. "The staff is too tired. They have been working around the clock," he added.
