Bulgaria’s authorities are considering the possibility to second doctors from the countryside to Sofia to treat Covid-19 patients. The seconded doctors will be from districts with low coronavirus morbidity rate.

Another 70 intensive care beds will be opened in hospitals in Sofia, this country’s caretaker Deputy Minister of Health Dimitar Petrov announced. In his words, there is a shortage of intensive care beds in Sofia, while the hospitals in Bulgaria’s capital have not yet run out of non-intensive care beds.
