Representatives of different sectors are protesting across Bulgaria against the Covid-19 Green Certificate.

People are dissatisfied with the fact that the new anti-epidemic measures were adopted quickly and they were not given any time to adapt to the new measures. They insist that Bulgaria’s authorities issue a green certificate to people whose antibody tests return positive results, like in Austria.

Hoteliers, restaurateurs and representatives of other sectors affected by the latest anti-epidemic measures insist that the document be mandatory for other spheres, such as the public administration, reporters of the Bulgarian National Radio inform. Owners of restaurants and other catering establishments said that their turnover decreased by 70% after the introduction of the new measures.

After 15,30 pm, protesters blocked one of the key intersections in Sofia- Eagles’ Bridge. Later, they headed towards the Council of Ministers building and the Ministry of Health.

Nearly 300 protesters temporarily blocked traffic at the intersection near the Ancient Baths in the town of Plovdiv, Central South Bulgaria.

More than 300 restaurateurs, hoteliers and residents of Stara Zagora blocked the intersection between “General Gurko” and “Patriarch Evtimii” streets.

Protest rallies against the Covid-19 Green Certificate are expected to take place tonight in the towns of Burgas, Yambol, Kyustendil, Targovishte, etc.
