Bulgaria reports more than 6,000 daily Covid infections, 310 deaths

Bulgaria has registered tragic figures for the number of Covid-related deaths since the beginning of the pandemic as 310 people lost the battle with the virus in the past day. 94 percent of them were not vaccinated.

6,007 are the new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Bulgaria for the past 24 hours. 12% of the 49,862 tests performed returned positive, according to the website coronavirus.bg. 86.40% of the newly infected persons were not vaccinated.

There are now 102,412 active patients registered in the country. A total of 8,030 patients are hospitalized. 669 patients are in intensive care. 

1,341 persons were admitted to hospital in the past day. Over 90% of them are non-vaccinated. 3,009 people were reported cured in the past 24 hours.

14,545 vaccine jabs were administered on Monday. A total of 1,518,989 citizens in Bulgaria are now fully vaccinated.
