166 daily Covid deaths, 4,662 new infections registered in Bulgaria

4,662 is the number of coronavirus cases out of 39,333 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, 340 fewer infections compared to the previous day. The Covid-19 positivity rate is 11.9%.

86.1% of all new infections reported are among the unvaccinated. 108,741 is the number of active cases. 8,372 are being treated in hospital, 710 of them in intensive care. 90% of the 996 new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated. 166 have died in the past day, as compared to 135 a day earlier. 90% of the Covid-related deaths are among the unvaccinated. The number of daily recoveries is 3,703.

20,776 doses of vaccine were administered on Thursday. The number of people now fully vaccinated in the country is almost 1,550,000.
