The level of the Danube in the Bulgarian section of the river is record low for the end of the autumn season. This is indicated by the official website of the Executive Agency for Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River.

Water level of just 35 centimeters was measured near Novo Selo and the rise compared to November 4 is only four centimeters. At "Danube Bridge - 2" at kilometer 796 of the river the water level has dropped to 70 centimeters.

Despite the low water levels, shipping continues. Two tourist cruise ships with 150 tourists on board recently stopped at the port of Vidin.
