Bulgaria reports a decrease in average daily cases of Covid-19

1,256 are the new cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria registered in the past day. 7.5% of the 16,626 tests made returned positive, according to the National Coronavirus Information portal.

The registered active patients are 112,845. For the last 24 hours, 303 infected people were admitted to hospitals on Sunday. 91.42% of them have not been vaccinated. 8,491 patients are currently being treated in hospitals as 732 patients are in intensive care.

In the last 24 hours, 69 people with an established Covid-19 infection have died. 90% of them have not been vaccinated. There are 993 recoveries reported.

A total of 4,766 vaccines were administered in Bulgaria on Sunday. There are now 1,565,240 people with full immunization.

Despite overcrowded hospitals and intensive care units, the average incidence of Covid-19 is declining across the country. In the capital Sofia, the incidence of the infection in the past week was 587 per 100,000 people against 1,287 per 100,000 on a 14-day basis.
