School principals insist that pupils be tested for Covid-19 at home

545 school principals across Bulgaria have signed and submitted a letter to the ministers of education and of healthcare, demanding an amendment to the order for conducting Covid-19 testing in schools.

The principals do not consider it right and proper to impose such an important task on those working in the education system, such as testing, and claim that they cannot oblige any of the staff to perform duties that are not in their professional qualification.
The principals insist that parents be given the opportunity to test their children at home and, after the test results, the children should be taken to school, presenting the test as proof.
