Authorities find another 150 surplus voting machines

The Central Election Commission has reported about 150 new voting machines, which were delivered to Bulgaria outside the number of machines ordered by the commission for the elections on November 14. The devices are stored in a customs warehouse at Sofia Airport, the Prosecutor's Office announced.

Veselin Todorov, director of the importing company Ciela Norma, has told BNR that the machines were without software and would not be used in the vote. He said the same about another 228 machines, which turned out to be stored together with the additional 1,600 machines ordered by the CEC. The surplus of machines is needed for service activities and demonstrations, Todorov said.
