High voter turnout has been registered in Malta, Valcho Valchev, member of the polling station in the town of Saint Julian’s, said for Radio Bulgaria of the BNR. Bulgaria opened only two polling stations in the Mediterranean country- in Bugibba and in Saint Julian’s.

Traditionally, around 500 people cast their ballots in each of the two polling stations. There are two voting machines in each polling station. So far, more than half of all eligible voters in Saint Julian’s have exercised their right to vote. In Valcho Valchev’s words, election day in Malta is expected to end at 20.00 pm, because no crowds are usually formed in front of the polling stations in the evening.
