President calls for a government to be formed with transparent majority

The elections have shown society’s determination to stop lawlessness and corruption. Attempts to confuse people and make them hesitant failed. I congratulate all the parties that are entering the new parliament. They face the task of forming a government backed by clear majority, President Rumen Radev commented at the end of election day.

"In the run-off, we will face the party-organized majority of the status quo. Therefore, our victory depends on our mobilization," the incumbent President added. He singled out low voter turnout as a problem. "The stakes are high enough. Bulgarians see that in times of crisis the presidential institution has a special weight," Radev pointed out.
