The second round of the election for President of Bulgaria is proceeding normally, without incident, the Interior Ministry reported as of 3 PM data.

Almost 16,000 police officers are involved in guaranteeing public order. 1,191 reports of electoral legislation violations have been filed since 14 November, the majority of them being connected with vote-buying in favour of political parties and coalitions, BNR’s Nikolay Hristov reports.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that they have received a report of political campaigning by former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, but it been rejected it. 33 out of the total of 11,716 voting machines in the country and abroad have failed as of 4 PM. Voting at these polling stations continued using paper ballots.

There are reports of and sanctions for announcement of election results before the end of election day by a number of online media outlets, BNR’s Maria Kostova reports.
