Once again, a price record was set in Bulgaria. On the energy exchange, electricity for businesses reached a price of 212 euros per megawatt-hour. On the day-ahead platform, in addition to Bulgaria, electricity was traded expensively in most European countries. Higher prices or close to those in Bulgaria were observed in Greece, Serbia, Italy, Romania, Hungary, France and Belgium, while the cheapest electricity remains in Poland.

According to the Electricity System Operator, currently electricity generation in Bulgaria is about 5 thousand MWh, more than a fifth of the generated energy is exported, while imports are only about 200 MWh.
