8.7% of daily Covid-19 tests return positive result

The new Covid-19 cases have reached 2,569 for a day. According to data of the Single Information Portal, 8.7% of 29,503 tests returned positive result. There are 6,846 hospitalized patients as 797 of them are in intensive care. There are 687 newly admitted patients as 87.77% of them are non-vaccinated. 120 people died in the past day and 3,092 patients recovered.

Most of the new cases have been registered in Sofia - 674, followed by Plovdiv - 219 and Varna - 174.

The number of vaccines administered in the past day reached 19,744 bringing the total number of administered vaccine doses to 3,241,333. There are already 1,725,730 people with a completed vaccination cycle in Bulgaria, as well as 73,985 citizens with three doses.
