“The posts in the new cabinet have been distributed according to the weight each of the parties in the next National Assembly carries,” Rumen Gechev from the Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, said for public service TV BNT.

He stated that 8 of the posts will go to We Continue the Change, 4 to the Bulgarian Socialist Party, 3 to There Is Such a People and 2 to Democratic Bulgaria. He added that accord had been reached on a number of issues, during the discussions of the possible coalition partners, but that there are still a number of issues that remain controversial. They are to be cleared up during the additional talks and the leaders’ meeting.
