Sofia hosts international conference on demographic resilience

Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev will open today in Sofia an international conference dedicated to demographic resilience. Natalia Kanem, UN Under Secretary General and Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund will also attend the conference themed "Shaping Europe’s Demographic Future: Pathways for Societies to Thrive in a World of Rapid Demographic Change".

For the first time, ministers from Europe and Central Asia are to discuss negative demographic trends and prospects for overcoming these trends. The conference will also launch the Decade of Demographic Resilience.
