Bulgaria reports 2,289 new infections of coronavirus in past day

During the last 24 hours, Bulgaria has reported 2,289 cases of coronavirus out of 36,775 tests performed, according to the Unified Information Portal. 6.2% of the samples gave a positive result. 81% of newly infected have not been vaccinated. 

The highest number of new cases is registered in Sofia - 475, in Plovdiv - 187 and in Varna - 155. 
There are 6,035 patients in hospitals as 684 of them in intensive care units. 87.3% of newcomers are not vaccinated. 
113 people have died in the past day as 87.6% of them were not vaccinated. 
There are currently 102,459 active cases of Covid-19 in Bulgaria. 
Yesterday, 19,825 doses of coronavirus vaccine doses were administered. 1,798,188 people have received two doses. 123,024 persons have a booster dose.
