Bulgaria reports 2,299 daily Covid-19 cases, a positivity rate of 8%

2,299 is the number of newly registered coronavirus cases out of 27,694 tests performed in the country in the past day, a positivity rate of 8%.

82% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

The number of active cases is 99,663, of new hospital admissions – 650.

86% of them among the unvaccinated.

5,702 Covid-19 patients are being treated in hospital, 627 of them in intensive care.

The number of Covid-related deaths in the past 24 hours is 103, of them 97% are among the unvaccinated.

2016 is the number of recoveries reported in the past day.

17,802 doses of vaccine were administered on Tuesday, 1,815,336 people in the country are now double-vaccinated. 139,457 people have had a third dose of vaccine.
