Ski season kicks off in Bulgaria’s winter resorts

As of today the ski runs in Bansko, Borovets and Malyovitsa are open to winter sports fans.

The season in Bansko kicks off with skiing demonstrations for children down the Alberto Tomba ski slope. Last year’s prices will be in place until 26 December, after which a one-day pass will cost 79 Leva (EUR 40.39).

The first tourists expected in Borovets are from Great Britain, tourists with cancelled reservations in French resorts. For the time being prices there remain unchanged, a week from now a one-day pass with cost 75 Leva (EUR 38.35).

The ski season at Malyovitsa, where there is a thick snow cover already, is beginning with free passes, a music programme and snow animation. Until 26 December passes for the facilities in the resort will cost 34 Leva (EUR 17.38), after which they will cost - 40 Leva (EUR 20.45).
