Bulgaria reports 456 new cases of Covid-19 out of 15,637 tests performed

456 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 15,637 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. Nearly 3% of the tests have returned positive results. The highest number of new infections were reported in Sofia-126, followed by Varna-56 and Plovdiv-38.

4,613 patients are being treated in hospital, as 527 of them are in intensive care units. 139 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. Nearly 88% of the new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated. 35 people with established coronavirus infection have died and 241 have been reported cured in the past 24 hours. There are 96,008 active cases of Covid-19.

3,919 vaccines were administered on Sunday. 1,872,502 people have completed their vaccination cycle. 218,270 have had a booster shot.
