Prosecutor's Office checks Bulgarian State Railways

Bulgaria’s Prosecutor's Office has launched an inspection at the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) following a signal submitted by former Minister of Transport Hristo Alexiev, the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office announced. The state-owned company confirmed that prosecutors met with the management of BDZ - Passenger Services and requested documents.

The prosecution is checking contracts for the repair of railcars and wagons signed with Alstom Company and Wagon Plant-Intercom in Dryanovo. It is also checking whether real activities have been carried out in connection with the contracts.
